Viet Taste
About This Spot
Stepping into Viet Taste on North Boulevard feels like entering a softly lit retreat where the quiet hum of casual conversation blends with the delicate aromas of slowly simmered broths and sizzling lemongrass. It’s a place where time seems to slow down, inviting you to pause and savor the quiet rhythm of a well-loved neighborhood spot. The pace here is unhurried, encouraging guests to linger over their meals without rush, surrounded by a modest yet welcoming space that feels both familiar and comforting.
Viet Taste carries the gentle warmth of a family kitchen, where every bowl of pho and every plate of stir-fried lemongrass carries subtle layers of care and tradition. The experience here is deeply tied to those moments when a rich, fragrant broth warms you from the inside out or when a perfectly charred skewer brings a satisfying contrast of textures. This isn’t about grandiosity — rather, it’s about the honest pleasure that rises from dishes crafted with respect for authentic flavors and simple ingredients.
The atmosphere reflects a thoughtful balance: the quiet attentiveness of servers mirrors the calm environment, encouraging a relaxed experience rather than a hurried meal. It’s a space where the steady flow between long-time regulars and curious newcomers shapes a shared appreciation for Vietnamese flavors, from soothing soups that invite a slow sip to vibrant salads that awaken the palate. Conversation flows gently as plates arrive, each one a small discovery rooted in tradition yet approachable for those new to this cuisine.
What stands out most at Viet Taste is that feeling of connection — not only to a cuisine but to a moment in time. Whether enjoying the soft tendons melting into the classic pho or the bright, crisp notes of a papaya salad, there’s a tangible sense of comfort and nourishment that feels deeply human. It’s a little oasis for those who seek a quiet meal filled with thoughtful flavors, where food and atmosphere come together without fuss but with a clear intent to welcome and satisfy.

I always get the beef round pho with the soft tendon and it’s always great the atmosphere is peaceful and quiet i would highly recommend it. Tried the shrimp skewers that were charred perfectly. The servers are timid but very attentive. I wish I could post photos of the food but I already finished it all!

First time trying them out and the meal was excellent. We had the beef soup and Krispy fried noodles and both were excellent Highly recommend for authentic Vietnamese food

First visit was interesting. Soup I had was ok. But their prices are to high. Bowl of soup was $13.50. Two spring rolls $6 The restaurant needs alil cleaning. The window sills are dirty and I don't like looking at bugs while I eat. I doubt I'll return. For those who enjoy. Please carry on.

We used to live in Salisbury and ate here often, so it was quite a treat when we found ourselves back in the area recently and were able to visit our favorite restaurant! Viet Taste never disappoints. Every dish is made with so much love and care. The food always comes out fresh and piping hot - full of aromatics and flavor! We usually opt for the clay pot options (I’ve attached a pic of the clay pot fish below), which absolutely melt in your mouth! The stir-fried gluten options are also always a winner in our household, and a great option for any vegetarian foodies in your party! If I could pick up this restaurant and bring it to my new area, I would! Hoping we can return soon!

This restaurant consistently serves quality food at very reasonable prices. I absolutely recommend them to anybody in the Salisbury area.

I love this place; it can be a bit hard to communicate with the server, but they’re all very kind. The food is absolutely delicious; there’s a lot of options, whether you’re there for the pho or not.
